Colin Brace, a green developer at the PortZED Hassocks firm, has affirmed his intentions to re-apply for a council approval of the sixty-plus room development at Shoreham Harbour.
The first application was unanimously rejected by council officials after the contentious project was greeted with a strong campaign from local residents of Kingsway in opposition to the proposal.
Residents of Kingsway were concerned that there would be a lack of sunlight in their homes resulting from the five storey blocks integrated with helical wind turbines.
A new application has been welcomed by a spokesperson for the council, and will be well received by Green Party leader Caroline Lucas, who had previously embraced the development of green business in the local area.
