Each month features a timeless design icon strategically placed to create a fun, tasteful photo. As shown, the product for December is, of course, Coca Cola (‘holidays are coming!’). The other months include iconic products such as: Dyson vacuum cleaner, Alessi kettle, Nike Sports brand, Brio, Bauhaus lounger, Eames chair, Lava lamp, Sony Walkman, Apple Mac, Fender guitar and Concorde.
It was a real team effort to create and produce. The product design course is a small one so everyone was involved in putting the calendar together, whether it was acquiring props, taking the pictures, modelling or photoshopping the images. The calendar boys enjoyed the photo shoots, even though at times it got a bit awkward. However some of them maybe enjoyed the nudity a bit too much!
The money is going towards the product design show at the end of the year. They get a minimal amount of funding for their course so they have to raise £3,000 for the show. Keep your eyes peeled for many more exciting fundraising events. The calendar will be on sale for £5 in library square throughout week 9 and 10 (from November 28). Alternatively you can order one by emailing email@example.com. There are only 200 available so don’t miss out. It’s the perfect student gift for Christmas.
