Sussex Food is set to host a Noel Festival in aid of the charity Young Minds. The Christmas market event will welcome a mixture of independent and student stalls and will feature festive food and music.
The event will take place over two days from December 5 to December 6 at 4- 8 pm.
Young Minds is the UK’s leading charity advocating and fighting for the mental health of children and young people. The charity ensures that young people have access to quality mental health support and aims to tackle the ‘real and urgent’ mental health crisis that young people are experiencing.
“Young people’s mental health and wellbeing has never been so important and is a growing problem for young people in the UK.” Wayne Spicer, Head of Events, told The Badger.
“We wanted to do something a little bit different this year to support our main charity, rather than just relying on donations through our collection tins we wanted to do something special that involved everyone on Campus including students, staff and visitors and we think Christmas is the perfect time to do something a little special” they added.
“The event is being widely supported by local independent traders in Brighton who are donating money to hold stalls during our two day Festival, plus we are running charity stalls including a Tombola and Raffles all raising money for the charity.
“Companies have come forward to donate Christmas Lights and Christmas Trees, we have been overwhelmed by the amount of people who want to support us and it promises to be a fantastic event for everyone.” Wayne Spicer told us.
Concept Building Services (Southern) Ltd are one of the many sponsors and students will be able to enjoy an exciting array of stalls featuring: Lush, Brighton and Hove Albion, Smallwollyelephant, Select Silver Jewellery, Be Natural Candles and many more.
Remember to head to Bramber Lawns to raise money for charity, get together with friends before the winter vacation, and maybe even get ahead with your Christmas shopping.
