The kickboxing club continues to grow and has firmly established itself as the largest martial arts club at Sussex. Socials last year were hugely popular, lessons were often full and the club arranged a series of Sussex vs Sussex sparring events for members to gain fighting experience in front of a crowd which was a big success.

A lot will be going on this year with plenty more socials, fights involving other universities, old boys day and varsity day (followed by more socials of course) to just name a few. We will also compete in the National Universities Kickboxing Tournament in Kent and/or Leeds, and hope to host a regional universities championship on campus.

Lessons go at your own pace and include the basics, pads & pair work, bag work, structured drills, conditioning, circuit training and sparring (completely optional). Perfect for working off the beer weight. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience and fitness levels.

Lessons are in the 1st Floor Dojo in the Sports Centre at the front of campus. Wednesdays 1-2, 2-3 & 3-4 and Saturdays 2-3 & 3-4, with taster sessions on Wed 6th October. Membership is £10 for the year and lessons are £3 each for students or £5 for two. First lesson is free.
