The activities committee have recently ruled against the existence of a ‘Beer Pong’ society. The American drinking game, which consists of players throw a ping-pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in one of several cups of beer, is becoming more and more popular across the UK. In response to their decision to ban the society, the activities committee stated, ‘we are not trying to stop people participating in something like Beer Pong if they want to’, but that it is against their responsibility to encourage drinking games. One student in favour of a Beer Pong society argued, ‘there is a wine appreciation society operating at the university, so why can’t we have one for Beer Pong’.

This is saddening news for Beer Pong fans across the country. Possibly the finest social sport in existence has never been credited with the main stream recognition it deserves. Here at http://www.redcups.com, we’re trying to change this, one ping pong ball at a time. If you want to start a Beer Pong Society at your uni, get in touch, and we’ll bring the cavalry.
Godspeed!
