Strikers picket the entrance to the Sussex university campus

Strikers picketed the entrances to the university campus. Several delivery drivers refused to cross the picket line as a show of solidarity.

Paul Russell has worked in the university’s maintenance department for 25 years. He said, “A decent pension means you can have a reasonable living when you retire. You can pay your heating bills and not be reliant on the government.”
