Bye, Bye, Obama
Last night marked the end of what could have been, and in reality, should have been, a very successful presidency.
The Democrats lost both control over the House and Senate, giving the GOP total control over what passes and fails (now everything unless it involves free hand guns). I remember back in ‘08 when Obama was first elected President. While it was, and is, still a great moment in American history, Obama hasn’t lived up to the image he set up for himself.
However, it’s not all totally his fault. Congress is up for re-election every two years, making it impossible to get any major done. It takes two years in this country to work out which members of the cabinet are sending out naked selfies before any serious business can get done.
Also, Obama only has three years in his first term, as the last year is all about re-election.
If America is to make any good policies (such as blowing Sh*t up), then at least give them the adequate time to do it.
