Negotiations between the Students’ Union and the Brighton & Hove Bus Company have resulted in a £3 student day ticket being introduced.
The new discount ticket is £1.70 cheaper than the current daily ticket, which costs £4.70.
Students’ Union President Abraham Baldry has been lobbying the bus company for a better fare for students since her took office.
The price for the £3 student day ticket will be frozen until the end of the 2015 calendar.
