This academic year has seen the collaboration of The Badger newspaper with University Radio Falmer (URF) both in print and on air. Episode 1: Brexit, Food, Cosmetic Surgery and Steve Coogan

In our first monthly guest slot episode on University Radio Falmer (urfonline.com), The Badger team discuss Brexit delays, cosmetic surgery, the best food in Brighton, the Rugby World Cup, Halloween, Scarlet Moffat’s controversial new TV show The British Tribe Next Door and our personal TV/Film recommendations. The episode also features an excerpt from the Art Section’s recent interview with actor and comedian Steve Coogan.

Episode 2: Picket Lines, Pizza Express Woking and Predicting the Future

In our November 25th guest slot episode on University Radio Falmer (urfonline.com), The Badger team discuss the UCU Strikes that affected campus and the morality of crossing the picket line, the Prince Andrew BBC interview on Epstein and I’m a Celeb… and it’s issues with gender politics and the transphobia online. This episode also features the team discussing their favourite albums and films of the decade from Beyonce’s Lemonade to Ex Machina. They also go on to attempt to predict what’ll happen in the next decade including rise of veganism, the fall of marriage and the end of the world.

Episode 3: A Very Jerry Eco Friendly Christmas

In our December 2nd guest slot episode on University Radio Falmer (urfonline.com), The Badger team discuss the content of the newest print edition of The Badger featuring the Arts pullout The Burrow, the end of the UCU Strikes and how the picket lines seemed to dwindle, the Big Debate discusses whether some reality TV should be banned and Jude’s Jeremy Corbyn Christmas jumper. The team then go into depth on everything Christmas related from how to have an eco friendly holiday, the struggles of being vegetarian at a Christmas dinner, ideas for gifts for each other and the betterment of the world and the show ends with the hosts performing a beautiful rendition of the iconic poem ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’.

The team discuss first murmurs of Coronavirus in Brighton, The Poorly Written Play Festival, West Slope accommodation plans and the elitism regarding it, Harry & Meghan going solo, a Big Debate on whether the opt-out organ donation policy is ethical, Philip Schofield coming out and why people are choosing to dump dating apps. The hosts also play the Fill The Headline quiz again.
