If you enjoy live music but camping’s not your thing, then British Summertime Festival held in the heart of the capital is the one for you. Held over a number of dates in July, major artists will headline one of the most infamous stages in the world and you don’t want to miss out on what they have in store for you. Previous talent to play the festival includes the likes of The Libertines, Taylor Swift, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, The Who and Blur and this year’s line-up is as equally impressive.

This summer sees the return of the festival with a line-up that boasts headline performances from Massive Attack, Florence + The Machine, Carole King, Mumford & Sons, Take That and Stevie Wonder. Tickets for each event are fairly expensive again this year, so we’ve selected our tips for who to catch throughout the duration of the festival.

Florence + The Machine have been around for quite some time now, yet she never fails to impress with theatrical dancing and a vocal range of extraordinary heights. Florence Welch and co are now a massive success on both sides of the Atlantic and after a storming headline performance at Glastonbury last summer, she’s more than ready to show Hyde Park what she’s got.

Expect hits from their latest album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ alongside tracks such as ‘Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)’ and ‘Dog Days Are Over’ that made us fall in love with the band in the first place. You’ll undoubtedly find yourself singing along to tunes such as ‘You’ve Got The Love’ and ‘What Kind of Man’ so get down the front early to secure yourself a winning view.

Support comes from artists including Kendrick Lamar, Jamie XX, Blood Orange and Cat Power to name but a few; proving to be perhaps one of the most diverse line-ups we’ve seen at BST over the years.

Mumford & Sons will also provide essential viewing when they stop by the festival with a stellar army of support acts in tow. Alabama Shakes, Wolf Alice, Mystery Jets and Nick Mulvey are just a few who will be warming up crowds earlier in the day for the main extravaganza. Though, if there’s one band who needs no introduction to festivals – that band is certainly Mumford & Sons.

Having previously headlined Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds festivals in recent years, the band have crafted a show-stopping formula to approach headline slots with. Their performance at BST looks set to continue that pattern. Fans can expect to be treated to airings of ‘Little Lion Man’, ‘The Cave’ and ‘I Will Wait’ to accompany other hits that will see carnage ensue amongst the crowd.

British Summer Time gets better by the year and 2016’s fantastic line-up will certainly continue that tradition. Tickets are still available for selected dates, so make sure you snap yours up before they inevitable sell out as it’s an exciting summer ahead.
