BBC Introducing are hosting a set of live performances, panels, and talks with industry professionals, artists, and record labels – all things music will be at London’s Tobacco Dock from Thursday 8th November to Saturday 10th November.

Many notorious music favourites like Example, Nile Rodgers and You Me At Six will give talks on songwriting, making it in dance music, and live podcasting. Although for musicians who want to take the independent route there’ll be talks on being a DIY musician with the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart and representatives from SoundCloud and Bandcamp. AWAL will also be there with over 20 speakers from 10 am each day.

Have you ever wondered who the faces are behind streaming services like Spotify? This is the moment to find out. They will have a hub of podcasts discussing ‘real stories from real people’ focusing on youth and mental health. On a music-specific note, they will be hosting masterclasses on playlisting, ‘Spotify for artists’ and flourishing into successful careers with Spotify and PRS’ ‘Gaining Momentum’.

If you’re interested in the strong connection between music and mental health, Music Minds Matter and Help Musicians UK will be there to discuss support through music careers from finances to enhancing your creativity and how to deal with the pressure that musicians and creatives face.

But if that’s not enough, there’ll be an intimate live set by Ben Howard, Deadmau5 hosted by Annie Mac, and Nao for BBC 1 and 1XTRA.

This will be a great opportunity to seek advice, learn from people in the industry and network with others. If you’re interested, you can purchase tickets via the link https://bbcintroducing.seetickets.com/event/bbc-music-introducing-live/tobacco-dock/1243651
