Following our very successful competition in Bristol last November, the Sussex Trampoliners are off to Cambridge the weekend of the 7th February to hopefully win some more gold medals! This time, we also have Alyse Burnett and Laura Boyd, and Livvi Newman and Amy Gower competing in synchro.
We have recently been fundraising to order a banner to represent ourselves at competitions and Freshers’ Fair. On Friday 30th January, our cake sale raised £105.98 which we are extremely happy with and hope to organise another one soon!
The team are training hard in preparation for BUCS at the end of February and in March, we are hoping to participate in Varsity against Brighton University Trampolining Club.
Thus, regarding the above and our earlier achievements of Autumn 2014, we are running for ‘most improved sports club’ at the Sussex University Student Awards and we would greatly appreciate it if more and more people could vote for us! Remember that you can still come along for a bounce on Sundays from 6-8 for just £2 – it’s great fun and an amazing way to make some fantastic friends!
