The food provision at Falmer Bar has been taken over by the One World catering company.
Eating in Falmer Bar, one of Sussex’s most important social and alcoholic hubs, has classically been a bit of a hit-or-miss affair. Previously, food was unobtainable before midday and the menu was limited. As of Monday 13 October, however, the food at the Union’s southern pub has been taken over by One World. The company advertises itself as ‘fine cuisine from around the world, cooked fresh every day and at affordable prices.’
The new company is offering a breakfast menu available from 10am, with food served until 10pm in the evening. The menu offers an array of new options, from a reasonably priced hamburger selection, to a range of ‘light meals’ all priced between £1.50 and £4.00. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
